Love birdies, incorrigiblyromantics, estheticians and Rome-lovers, flock here to
throw a coin into the blue
waters of the most famous
fountain of the world.
According to legend, those
who throw a coin into the
fountain will surely return
to the eternal city. Situated
at a junction of three roads,
this awe-inspiring Baroque
construction dates back to
1732, and marks the terminal
point of one of the aqueducts,
"Acqua Vergine" that supplied
ancient Rome with water.
